"Spare"

Alright people, let's get into it, because we're about to talk about "Spare" - the autobiography of none other than Prince Harry himself. Now, if you're anything like me, your first thought might be "wait, Prince Harry wrote a book?" But yes, it's true, he did - and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised.

Now, before we get into the nitty-gritty, let's talk about the title. "Spare". Honestly, when I first heard that, I thought it was going to be a book about how Prince Harry is just kind of...there. Like, he's not really the important one, he's just the spare heir. But no, it turns out that's not what he meant at all. Apparently, the title refers to a conversation he had with the Queen, where she referred to him as her "spare" - as in, she already had an heir (Prince William), so Harry was kind of the backup plan. Which, you know, sounds a little harsh, but then again, when you're a member of the royal family, you have to get used to some pretty weird stuff.

Anyway, back to the book itself. I have to say, I was impressed with Prince Harry's writing. He's got a pretty engaging style, and he doesn't shy away from some of the more...awkward...moments in his life. Like, for example, the time he dressed up as a Nazi for a costume party. Yeah, that was a thing that happened. And he doesn't try to excuse it or anything - he just admits that it was a dumb thing to do, and he's learned from it. Which, you know, is refreshing. It's nice to see someone who's willing to own up to their mistakes.

But of course, the real meat of the book is all the stuff about his relationship with Meghan Markle. And let me tell you, there's some juicy stuff in there. Like, did you know that they actually met on a blind date? I mean, imagine that - you're just a regular person, and you get set up on a date with a freaking prince. I don't know about you, but I would have been sweating bullets. But apparently Meghan was cool as a cucumber. And then there's all the drama with the media and the royal family and everything - I mean, I don't want to spoil too much, but let's just say it's a wild ride.

Overall, I have to say, I enjoyed "Spare". It's not often you get to read a book written by an actual prince, you know? And even if you're not a huge fan of the royal family, there's still plenty of interesting stuff in there. So if you're looking for a good read, give it a shot. Who knows, maybe you'll even learn something.
